This 2″ Overfill Limiter for Steel Tanks is a mechanical overfill prevention device, often known as a “spill stop” device. It attaches to the 2″ fill point of a diesel tank and mechanically shuts off the supply of oil when the tank gets full.  It is suitable for use with clean diesel, bio-diesel B30 or heating oil. This device is specifically designed for steel tanks, however, a plastic tank version is available. When fitted to the tank you will lose 150mm of tank space, thus it may reduce the tanks overall capacity. Each valve is tested to EN13616:2004.

Operation:

• Connect tankers filling hose to filstop, ensuring a secure fit.
• Commence Filling.
• As the tanks maximum capacity is reached, the filstop will close the inlet of the tank, preventing the tank from being overfilled. If the tank is filled to the point where the filstop closes, isolate the delivery line, switch off the pump, and allow the filstop sufficient time to relieve pressure from the delivery hose, once pressure drops the filstop will open and drain the contents of the delivery hose into the tank.
• Disconnect filling hose.

"This overfill limiter will only operate correctly with clean fuel. Any foreign body or other particles in the fuel may cause the valve to fail. Failure caused by contamination is not covered by manufacturers warranty".
